Guest judge Kerry Hill to give lecture preceding awards

November to hear guest judge Kerry Hill give a
presentation on his work under the theme 'Crafting
Modernism'.
The presentation will be held in lecture room WE240 at the AUT
Campus in St Paul St and will attract 10 CPD points. It will
be followed by the AAA Cavalier Bremworth Unbuilt Architecture
Awards in the St Paul St Gallery at 7pm the same evening.

Australian-born, Singapore-based, Kerry Hill has been
responsible for the design of many significant developments in
South-East Asia and the wider Pacific region. His
achievements in his 40+ years of practice were recognised by the
Royal Australian Institute of Architects honouring him with their
Gold Medal in 2006. In 2010, Kerry received the Singapore
President's Design Award for the Designer of the Year.
He lectures and travels extensively, and has taught in several
leading Schools of Architecture. He is currently Visiting Professor
of Architecture at the University of New South Wales and an adjunct
Professor at the University of Western Australia. In 2008, he was
awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Architecture by the
University of Western Australia.
He relocated to Asia in 1971 and since that time projects have
been carried out in most areas of South-East Asia including
Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia as well as
regionally in Australia, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and
Japan. More recent commissions include projects in Turkey, Croatia,
Jordan, Egypt, Spain and China.
