Custom carpets for stunning Queenstown hotel

The Hilton Hotel at Kawerau Falls in the very picturesque alpine resort of Queenstown called for something very special and two custom carpets were created for the hotel.

    

The main foyer and lounge areas of the hotel used a newly launched, striated cut pile carpet in a custom colour.

The guest rooms in the hotel needed to feel tailored and elegant, so a three-colour combination cut and loop pile was created.  The darker shades in the carpet provide a solidity and permanence that echo that of the surrounding mountains while the lighter tones work back with the soft furnishings.  The use of a third colour adds both visual and textural interest.

The richness and warmth of wool carpet are in total keeping with the environment, both inside and out.
