The majority of the floor finishes are stone, and designer
Deanne Passenger says wool carpet was chosen to define and soften
the seating and boardroom spaces as well as deliver an improvement
in acoustics.
"The carpets, ceiling bulkheads, built-in joinery and feature walls
are completely integrated to form a holistic design expression
which flows from space to space both vertically and
horizontally.
"A dual purpose café and function space adjacent to the boardroom
meant that the carpet had to withstand food and drink spills while
maintaining its appearance. Ideal for hospitality and office
use, the
Trojan Twist contract heavy duty cut pile was an easy choice
for the carpet.
"The charcoal colour "Apollo" was chosen to for its great soil
hiding abilities and because it was a perfect match to the other
grey materials in the palette. The twist yarn is very forgiving as
it does not shade or watermark yet gives a great plush impression
to a front of house space."
